Retrograde Studios (“we,” “us,” “our”) is a custom tattoo and piercing studio at 502 State St, New Albany, IN 47150 (Floyd County, Indiana). This marketing website describes our studio and artists. Booking is handled off-site via artist Instagram DMs and in-person walk-ins.

Links to Instagram (Meta) take you off this site. Interactions on Instagram—including DMs used for booking—are governed by Meta / Instagram privacy policies, not by this Privacy Policy. We do not control Meta’s tracking or data practices once you leave our site.

Currently we use essential-only storage to remember cookie-notice acknowledgment. We do not set advertising or analytics cookies. Details are in our Cookies Policy.

Indiana Consumer Data Protection Act (INCDPA)

Indiana’s Consumer Data Protection Act (IC 24-15) generally applies to businesses that meet certain thresholds (for example, volume of consumers or revenue from sale of personal data). A small local studio may not meet those thresholds. Regardless, we design this site to be privacy-forward: minimize collection, no sale of personal data, and no targeted advertising via this website.

If INCDPA applies to you as an Indiana resident and to us as a controller, rights may include access, correction, deletion, data portability, and opting out of targeted advertising, sale of personal data, or certain profiling—subject to legal exceptions. Because we do not sell personal data or run targeted ads on this site, many of those opt-outs are not applicable here.

Children (COPPA)

This website is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this site. Tattoo and piercing services for minors are separately restricted under Indiana health rules (parent/guardian accompaniment and written permission for under 18)—see our Terms.

How we use information

Retention

Essential consent preference stays in your browser until you clear site data. Hosting logs are retained according to our host’s defaults or our operational needs (typically short-term for security). Booking or deposit records created offline or via Instagram follow our studio record practices and applicable law—not this website’s forms (there are none).

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We may share limited technical data with service providers who host or deliver this site, solely to operate the site. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect safety and rights.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate for a small marketing site. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
